I can’t believe we are approaching August. Looking back I am feeling really proud of my small business and the week by week connections and growth that has been achieved.
January saw an Energise and Empower Retreat with Spinavita Chiropractors, which was a huge success. I also took part in my first podcast interview with Momentum Pole and Aerial Queen Anna. We talked all things movement and mental health.
February I completed training in Animal Flow Movement- to this day a loved expression of stability and strength in two of my weekly classes. Blackfriars Priory asked me to do a blog for them too!
April saw my first micro retreat with BlackFriars Priory - a session that came with glorious feedback and brought me a lot of joy - the theme…’spring into action’! See my workshops page for the next one 9th August! I also took part in an interview for cycling weekly that offered comment on the psychology e - bikes.
May saw a lovely wellbeing session for the staff team at Spinavita Chiropractors- compassion focused discussion, imagery work and mindfulness. They’ve invited me back in September to build on this some more AND I hear that everyone has made a wellbeing oriented change since we met.
June saw the delivery of a workshop regarding neurodiversity in the workplace supported by my lovely colleagues GlosPsychology. There is more of this planned going forwards. Later in the month a hope and optimism oriented session for 75 wellbeing champions of One Gloucestershire. The feedback was so lovely.
July has seen the return of SUP yoga in collaboration with the waterways museum - which brings ALOT of joy - and a really well used workshop for yoga teachers to explore trauma sensitive classes at Orange Yoga School.
Alongside all these events and collaborations I have run my own classes twice a week in Roots Cafe and the Guildhall - welcoming many new faces, seeing the return of some from years gone by. Really pleased to maintain 8-15 people in every session. Our community is vibrant, compassionate and kind but most of all growing stronger and more supple in body and mind. My approach has found a groove and the movement blend creates some of the best group bodyweight training around. I bring this to lucky Titan Performance Gym every Saturday morning but look forward to sharing the secret with other good quality Gloucester gyms.
Still offering one day a week of direct integrative therapy or 1:1 assessments - to apply my body based movement and breath work to your sports performance.
Tons of exiting plans including Yoga for Eating Disorders training, Yoga and live music, animal flow workshops, more retreats plus wellbeing workshops for community groups and a collaboration with 270 Climbing.
Please continue to support MIndbodyPerform to grow. It’s a genuinely values based organaisation that seeks to bring wellness to more people through providing education and practical support. Building Connections. Building Community. Building Compassion.
